Recently, Michael Horaczek began creating bronze sculptures. He interweaves this highly specialized technique into the specific iconography of his original works. In both look and feel, the sculptures are identical to solid cast creations.
The process of creation involves a combination of three-dimensional computer artwork and finishing work by hand. Once the basic figure has been custom designed using several different computer programmes, the figure is then printed using a 3D printer – similar to the lost wax technique of bronze casting. The painstaking task of finishing the surface design is then carried out by hand using a bronze polymer, which gives the sculptures their unique look. Each figure is one-of-a-kind.

In seiner „Digital Edition“
definierter Objekte.
Photographer and cameraman Horaczek broke free from the constraints of
photography in 2016. In his "Digital Edition", he moves beyond the
limits of traditional photography into the world in which his concepts
come to life in digital form. He celebrates the interplay between
sharpness and blurring, mirroring and reflection and digital lighting
techniques to create a three-dimensional spectral configuration of
clearly defined objects.

Born in 1961 in Wiesbaden, he turned his hobby into a profession
and learned the art of photography from the bottom up. He soon came to
realize, however, that he was more inspired by moving pictures and
changed his focus from still photography to film and television,
apprenticing to his career as a cameraman.
He then worked as a
freelancer, spending time making animated films with Walt Disney and on
TV spots here and there. For a period of close to 10 years, he worked
on a regular basis as a cameraman for the German public television
channel Zweiten Deutschen Fernsehen (ZDF); outside of his professional
work, he won two international film awards. Inspired by "big business",
he gave up his public service position and devoted himself to the
leadership of the company Visiomedia GmbH as managing director.
For
many years, he has been exploring the world of art and in 2014 he
acquired the WBA award in the field of "Art". Today, photography has
mostly become a side issue and in addition to his very creative
freelance activity as creative director and voluntary management of an
art association, he is putting particular emphasis on his work in
computer-based art. The combination of the latest computer technologies
and classic creating by hand are a perfect fit for his concept of
creativity and contemporary art.
